You probably came across a person who wished they were able to choose their family. They wanted a life with less drama (those pointless, endless arguments) and more understanding and compassion. Unfortunately, their wish was never granted. Also, unfortunately, they never realized that all they were missing in life is a dog.
On the other hand, you might happen to know people who no matter how many steps they took on the rocky road, woke up every day with a smile on their faces. Why? Because a dog was always nearby to cheer them up- one lick on the nose can do wonders. That dog didn’t care how their breath smelled in the morning, or how crazy their hair looked; he was just there, ready to greet a person he loved dearly.
Those three little words—- I love dogs!
S.M.
In a big, complex world, with many people who spend their lives worrying, the simplicity of dogs always comes handy. It mends broken hearts and troubled souls. But this wonderful trait is often underestimated and these wonderful living beings are not valued enough.
Let’s only take a glimpse at the life of a dog. The dog doesn’t need to dress up in the morning. Brush his teeth, do his hair, put makeup on; he is all natural. Also, the dog doesn’t have thousands of thoughts throughout the day. One will do—You! He waits for you to come back home. He waits for you to take him out. He waits for you to feed him. He waits for you to be happy. He waits for you to begin the day, and to end it.
There is a dog for everyone but not everyone takes that opportunity. Not everyone knows that happiness is a choice rather than chance. After all, many people wish they were able to choose their family but only too few will give a dog a chance to show them that dogs can be the best family—the family that accepts us for what we are and loves us no matter how hard that can be.
